assessment and mapping by providing resources to the Global Information and Early Warning System (GIEWS) for developing components of the GIEWS Workstation, the overall development of which has been funded by the European Commission. The GIEWS Workstation development is of particular relevance to FIVIMS, namely that the Workstation is being made available at the country level for use by national institutions for purposes of food security monitoring, analysis and early warning.
